Why did you choose to study Science?

My main reason for choosing said programme aside from interest would be opportunity. Seeing as how the community gives their full attention to be devoured deep into a world of Digital Technology, I do not see the limitations to what I can learn and become. There is no denying that I can acquire the needed acknowledgement for my possible achievements in the future in assisting men with their daily tasks while simultaneously improving the world with my small unique ways. Therefore, I believe this programme is the most suitable stepping stone for the direction I am heading to.

What do you like most about studying at Monash? Have your expectations been met?

The teaching in Monash University of Malaysia reflect its rapid advancement in this field in the recent years which guarantees the latest and true education. The university did not just equip me with the necessary knowledge and skills but also instil the nature of analytical thinking for problem solving in order for me to improve in my planned path.

While at Monash, what type of opportunities did you participate in? (E.g. student exchange, clubs and societies, field trips, conferences, competitions, etc.)

The university has provided me an intercampus exchange opportunity to broaden my theoretical knowledge and practical skills in technology culture which are significant attributes in terms of work performance. It was an exclusive opportunity especially with the content of the units offered in the Australian campus only.

Have you went for any internships or work placements? If so, where, and what did you learn from the experience?

I had the experience with a simple website development in Pest Link Sdn. Bhd. where the client was very inclined towards his preference rather than the industry standard output. It went with me promising the client a prototype in exchange of two weeks for learning the web development languages. I managed to complete the job successfully while satisfying the client despite my inadequacy. Now, the client has me updating the website design and content occasionally.

What do you like most about your student life at Monash?

I like that Monash Student Association always organises events and activities such as Flash Friends, Jammies Night and Cultural Nights where students can relax and expand their social circle out of their school department. Additionally, the community is very friendly and helpful – even seniors are very eager to mentor you in your study and interact with you personally.

What is your biggest career goal? What’s the difference you’d like to make?

Granted the chance and sustenance, I wish to expand the Australian technology culture learnt from the university and exchange program to my home country. I am looking forward to expanding my career prospects in multimedia programming to spur my creative imagination in terms of technology development with Steve Jobs as role model. I wish to produce outrageous ideas like the kinds of Amazon featuring their flying warehouse deployment of delivery drones with least or no power usage, and Siemens featuring the Siemens Pooling Solution in increasing the usage of renewable energy following the depletion of fossil fuels.
