Personal Injury
Major Injury
- Care for patient and call for help from Health & Wellness Center and notify Security on 03 - 5514 6333 (external phone) OR 333 (Monash landline).
- Send someone to ring Ambulance Service: 999.
- Provide the following:
- their name;
- nature of emergency;
- their age/gender;
- location (campus, building, level, room);
- state of consciousness;
- number and names of person involved;
- any other relevant information e.g. breathing, bleeding, chest pains, etc.
- Ensure area is clear for medical personnel.
- Inform Manager/Supervisor if the injured person is a student or visitor.
- Inform Safety Officer.
IMPORTANT : Complete Online Hazard and Incident Report via S.A.R.A.H.
Minor Injury
- Seek assistance from a local First Aider.
- Contact First Aid Officer within building for treatment.
- First Aider lists are generally posted on OH&S notice boards at the end of corridors or on First Aid kits.
- Inform Manager/Supervisor.
- Send injured person to a local medical center or hospital emergency ward if required.
- Inform Safety Officer.
Automated External Defibrillators (AED)
AED can be obtained from Security on 03 - 5514 6333 (external phone) OR 333 (Monash landline).
