If safe, note description and report to Security on 03 - 5514 6333 (external phone) OR 333 (Monash landline).

If confronted:

1. Obey intruder(s) instructions.
2. Never try to overpower an armed intruder.
3. Look, listen and observe:
   1. Articles touched by intruder
   2. Physical details / attire
   3. Mannerisms and weapons

General

1. Security (333 or 03 - 5514 6333) must be alerted. They will determine if Police are contacted.
2. Seek advice on how to proceed and next action to be taken, and record all incident information for Police.
3. Be prepared to evacuate and secure the building – await further instructions.

Lecture Theatres/Laboratories

• It is the responsibility of the lecturer/tutor to maintain control of the students during the emergency until released by the Building Warden.

Illegal Occupancy / Civil Disorder

Report to Security on 03 - 5514 6333 (external phone) OR 333 (Monash landline).

If safe to do so:

1. Restrict entry to buildings.
2. Confine presence to the ground floor.
3. Restrict contact between demonstrators and occupants.
4. Notify managers, supervisors and emergency personnel.
5. Be prepared to evacuate – await instructions from Building Warden.
