Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Signing Ceremony Between Monash University Malaysia and Beacon Precision Diagnostics

Beacon Precision Diagnostics signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with School of Pharmacy, Monash University Malaysia on 20 July 2024 to promote collaborative research activities in various medical diagnostics fields such as medical sciences, biomedical sciences, diagnostics, cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, oncology and other diseases.

The event was held at Wyndham Grand Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur during the opening ceremony of the "1st Malaysia Pharmacogenomics Summit" Organized by the Precision Medicine and Scientific Wellness (PMedS) Association and co-organized by the Commonwealth Medical Association (CMA). This landmark event brought together international experts in the field of Pharmacogenomics. The summit was officiated by YBhg. Datuk Dr. Muhammad Radzi Abu Hassan, Director-General of Health of Malaysia.

The MoU between School of Pharmacy, Monash University Malaysia and Beacon Precision Diagnostics was signed by Professor Dr. Shaun Wen Huey Lee, Head of the School of Pharmacy at Monash University Malaysia and Dr. Rebecca Tay, CEO of Beacon Precision Diagnostics. Among the special guests who attended the signing ceremony were Prof. Dr. Tan Geok Chin, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mahendran Sekar, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chong Chun Wie.

We strongly believe that this MoU will strengthen ties between the two parties which might lead in future to the establishment of one or more partnership or collaboration agreements for collaborative research activities/projects in medical diagnostics, internship of students, and joint conferences, seminars, training and workshops.

As we move forward, we anticipate to strengthen our connection with Beacon Precision Diagnostics and collaborate on initiatives that will drive innovation and progress.
