Food Systems and Health In SouthEast Asia
"Integrating Regional Perspectives to Understand the Role of Diet and Microbiome in Human Health"
The “Food Systems and Health in Southeast Asia” workshop, held on 26 June 2025 at Monash University Malaysia, brought together researchers from Malaysia, Singapore, and Japan to discuss the interplay between food systems, dietary patterns, the gut microbiome, and health in the region. The event featured presentations on ethnicity-specific diets, health transitions, and traditional food practices, followed by lively discussions aimed at fostering collaboration. We look forward to seeing these connections evolve into meaningful collaborative research and impactful outcomes.
