APIO Team Selection Test

APIO 2025 Team Selection – Malaysia Delegation

Semester 1, 2025

The Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad (APIO) is a prestigious IOI-style competitive programming contest for high school students across Asia and the Western Pacific. Established in 2007 by the Australian IOI team, APIO serves as a regional qualifier for the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI).

For APIO 2025, hosted by Uzbekistan, participants competed remotely on 17 May 2025, with eligibility extended to students also qualifying for IOI 2025 Bolivia.

Monash University Malaysia’s Role

To support Malaysia’s delegation, MUMTEC, in collaboration with the Malaysian Informatics and Programming Society (MIPS), provided venue and logistical support for the national selection process.

The event began with opening remarks by Professor Raphael, who encouraged participants to push their limits and introduced them to further opportunities such as the Monash AI Challenge Cup and computing courses available at Monash University Malaysia.
