Pre-placement Requirements
Because pharmacists are health professionals, they are required to have some additional safeguards in place to protect themselves and the patients with whom they work. Our experiential placements in community pharmacies and hospital settings begin in year 1 by which time all students must:
- Satisfy the Immunisation Requirements Specified by the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH)
- StEPs Indemnity Form & Pre-placement Declaration
- StEPs Professional Attire
Compliance with the immunisation requirements, minimising the risk of cross-infection of communicable diseases during training, can take time. Students are thus required to commence the immunisation process in readiness for experiential placements prior to the commencement of the course.
