Grab Industrial Visit

The Grab Industrial Visit, jointly organized by the School of IT (SOIT) and School of Engineering (SOE) at Monash University Malaysia, took place on 14th August 2025 and brought together 40 enthusiastic students for an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at Grab Malaysia’s headquarters in Bandar Utama. Designed to bridge academic learning with real-world industry exposure, the program offered students a rare chance to immerse themselves in the fast-paced, innovation-driven environment of one of Southeast Asia’s most influential super-app companies.

The day kicked off with students gathering on campus before making the trip to Grab HQ. Upon arrival, they were warmly welcomed by the Grab team, who set the stage with an inspiring introduction to the company’s mission, growth, and far-reaching impact across the region. This led into a series of Tech Talks, where industry professionals dove into topics such as business models, product innovation, and data-driven decision-making. Students found the talks eye-opening, gaining valuable insights into how technology powers Grab’s ecosystem, from ride-hailing and deliveries to financial services.

Students appreciated the open and relatable conversations, using the chance to ask questions, seek advice, and connect with professionals who once sat in the same lecture halls.
