Application to Overload
- It may be possible for you to enroll in more than the required number of units in a semester. The maximum credit points overload permitted per standard academic year (i.e. semesters one and two) is normally 12 points and no more than 6 points per semester
- You need to get approval from your course coordinator before enrolling in more units each semester
- The criteria for overloading are:
  - Completed at least one year of university study (8 units)
  - A minimum of 60% average in previous academic years.
Application to under load
Minimum full load is 18 credit points per semester (3 units) – International students are required to seek advice from The International Student Pass Unit.

Intercampus exchange
- A change of study location, not a course
- Continue to receive credit for your overseas study towards your Monash degree - all your units will appear on your academic transcript as per usual
- Pay your normal fees to Monash Malaysia in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR)
International/Inter-University exchange
- A change of study location, not a course
- You will receive an official transcript from your host university showing all the units you did and your marks. Your Monash transcript will only show Satisfied Faculty Requirements (SFR)
- Pay your normal fees to Monash Malaysia in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR)

Exam dates
Exams are held from Monday to Friday over a three-week period at the end of semesters one and two. As your exams may be scheduled for any session within this period, you should ensure you are available for the entire three weeks.

If you are planning to discontinue your study, you may wish to discuss with staff of your school Education Management Office or your lecturers. You may wish to consider applying for intermission as an alternative.

Should you decide to proceed with course discontinuation, you should be aware of the strict deadlines which apply with regards to discontinuing units and courses and the financial and academic penalties that will be applied.
You can discontinue your course by submitting a Course Discontinuation form
- All award students seeking to continue studies in the following academic year need to select units and formally enrol in them in order to be considered “re-enrolled’.
- From October to November every year
- Re-enrolment can be done via the Web Enrolment System (WES)
- Students will receive bulk email from Student Services
