Why did you choose to pursue your postgraduate studies at Monash Malaysia?
I chose to pursue my postgraduate studies in Monash Malaysia due to Monash’s freedom of educational expansion available for students in various backgrounds. As you may notice, my university degree is in business, and with no prior educational background in Information Technology, it is hard to explore a Masters in Technology despite my career background in IT. However, Monash offers a variety of bridging courses for students of all backgrounds to explore a career and education in STEM through MBIS and this encouraged me to pursue my Masters as Monash.
Please tell us about your study experience at Monash. Did it meet your expectations and do you think what you’re learning will help to open up more career opportunities?
Monash has provided me with a variety of learning experiences that encourages exploration and practical learning, allowing me to engage with a deeper understanding of the nature of my work. Through networking and engagement with several students, lecturers and people in the Monash community, I have had many opportunities to explore collaborative partnerships, guest lecturing and conversations in growing potential business opportunities and my career despite only being 25.
What type of opportunities did you participate in at Monash? (E.g. student exchange, clubs and societies, field trips, conferences, competitions, etc.)
As I am a masters student that is working, I have yet to participate in clubs and societies in Monash. However, I have had many opportunities to engage in conferences and guest lecture for classes in Monash as a Women in Tech, allowing me to grow in my career and as an individual.

What do you enjoy most about your student life at Monash?
The best and most enjoyable part of my student life is the diverse friends and classmates I have met throughout my classes. The cross-cultural experiences with international students that I meet virtually provides the feeling of being in Australia, while my international classmates from all over the world creates a well-rounded experience for me to explore business with international companies in the future and personally through cultural exchanges.
What is your biggest career goal, or what is the difference you’d like to make?
I would like to create opportunities and safe spaces for women to engage with one another and grow in STEM careers through my career, conversations and engagements. I would also like to place Malaysia on the international map as a beautiful country of talent, diversity and beauty.
