Held on 17th October 2025 in Monash University Malaysia with Dr Lo Sewn Cen (Research Fellow of CNZT) as the chairwoman of the event, Professor Cheng introduced an insect-centred biorefinery as a practical Biomass Carbon Removal and Storage route, which feasibly cultivates insects to valorise agro-based residues and produce valuable products such as proteins, oils, chitin and biochar.
