This project aims to leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning to analyse the dynamic behavior of electrolyzers. Among the areas that can be covered by this project include the following:

• Steady-state and transient response analysis
• Predictive failure analysis
• Single/Multistack electrolyser optimisation
• Physio/Electro-chemical behaviour of electrolyser design

By developing data-driven models, this research is expected to enhance predictive maintenance, optimize operational strategies, and support the next generation of high-performance electrolysers.

This is an industrial project intending to biotransform the palm oil waste into animal feed. The project will involve pilot-scale testing of animal feed production methods, which involve fermentation strategy, enzymatic treatment, and animal testing.

This project aims to develop highly efficient Fe-based catalysts for NH3 electrosynthesis. Various enhancement strategies will be explored, including defect engineering and the development of bimetallic catalysts, such as Fe-Mo-based compounds. These approaches can potentially achieve high catalytic activity by creating synergistic effects between different metal centres. This innovative methodology will be complemented by comprehensive studies on reaction and process parameters, including electrolyte composition and operating temperature, to optimise the performance of the electrocatalysts.

In the pursuit of realizing greener water splitting, unassisted photoelectrochemical (PEC) system (able to operate fully with solar energy) needs to be supported by PV. Spectral beam splitting is useful in a system that takes in concentrated solar energy to PV-PEC because of the difference in the favour of wavelength and temperature of individual concentrator PV and PEC. In this project, the incorporation of beam splitting and its optimisation will be studied in the new PV-PEC system.
