New GEMS PhD Opportunities - Catalytic Pathways to a Low-Carbon Future
The Centre for Net-Zero Technology (CNZT) would like to announce the opening of three (3) PhD opportunities under the Monash University Malaysia’s Global Excellence and Mobility Scholarship (GEMS) scheme.
This thematic cluster, titled “Catalytic Pathways to a Low-Carbon Future”, will bring together complementary expertise in photocatalysis, thermocatalysis, and electrocatalysis to develop innovative catalytic technologies that convert abundant, underutilised resources into sustainable energy carriers and chemicals, thereby supporting the transition towards a low-carbon and circular economy.
Spearheaded by A/Prof Tan Lling-Lling, this cluster consists of three projects (linked to FindAPhD) with a supervisory line-up consisting of senior and early-career researchers in Monash University Malaysia and Australia campuses:

PhD candidates under this scheme will have the great opportunity to engage in high-impact research in Monash University Malaysia, inclusive of an up to 9-month attachment in Monash University Australia. Interested candidates are required to meet the admission and scholarship eligibility (more details here), following which they are encouraged to submit their applications to the respective main supervisors of this project
