Prof Wu Ta Yeong appointed BUCT adjunct professor

We are thrilled to announce that Professor Wu Ta Yeong, our BIO-Trans theme leader of CNZT, has been appointed as an Adjunct Professor at Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT).

This significant recognition highlights Professor Wu’s outstanding contributions to the fields of chemical and environmental engineering, as well as his dedication to fostering international academic collaboration. The appointment ceremony, held on 29 November 2024, was attended by esteemed leaders and faculty members of BUCT, marking a milestone in strengthening the ties between Monash University Malaysia and BUCT.

Following the ceremony, Professor Wu delivered an inspiring academic lecture titled "Furfural Production using Pretreated Lignocellulosic Biomass as Feedstock," sharing his pioneering research and its potential impact on advancing green circular economies.

We congratulate Professor Wu on this well-deserved achievement and look forward to seeing the positive outcomes of this international partnership, further driving innovation and sustainability in engineering research and education.
