The Centre for Net-Zero Technology (CNZT) ended the year with a bold showcase of its net-zero innovations in the just-concluded Clean Energy Transition Asia (CETA) 2025 in KL Convention Centre.

During the three days of the exhibition (10-12 December 2025), CNZT presented some key highlights of its technology portfolio, including a solar-powered proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolyser (Prof. Chong Meng Nan’s team), static hydrogen-powered genset and jet engine (Dr. Ooi Jong Boon’s team), microalgae photobioreactor (Dr. Saman Ilankoon’s team), plastic remediation bioreactor (Dr. Ooi Chien Wei’s team), as well as a working model of an hybrid solar PV-hydrogen-ammonia platform for circular carbon utilisation (Dr. Tan Wen Shan’s team).

International delegates and visitors to CETA 2025, including members of governmental bodies visited and took keen interest in the various displays in the booth. This made for a productive session for CNZT’s researchers and students who had the prime opportunity to connect with the diverse audience and foster potential academic and industrial connections and collaborations. The members also had the opportunity to attend a ministerial keynote session by YB Dato’ Hajjah Hanifah Hajar Taib, Deputy Minister of Economy Malaysia, who outlined the various initiatives to make Malaysia a clean energy hub in ASEAN.

We would like to thank the organisers of CETA 2025 (The C0_Lab) for granting us the opportunity to debut and showcase our net-zero technologies. Stay tuned for our upcoming activities and exhibitions in 2026.
