Feedback has a powerful impact on student learning outcomes and significantly influences student’ satisfaction. Feedback is a process of engaging students in reflection on their learning and enabling them to improve as they move forward (Henderson, Ajjawi, Boud and Molly, 2019).
This resource compiles various feedback strategies, initiatives and practices shared by Monash educators, focusing on creating a comprehensive and effective feedback system at Monash. On top of that, they have consistently achieved a high agreement rate on their unit in their student’s survey. Here’s what they shared:
Use unit introduction to set clear and early assignment expectations
Relate feedback to learning outcomes and weekly content
Provide comprehensive guidelines for assessments at the start of the semester
