Share your teaching practice, learning innovation, education research, or initiative at the TransformED 2026 Learning and Teaching Conference. We invite submissions from educators, learning designers or anyone who is passionate about improving teaching, learning, and the student experience through innovative practice.

The Workshop format is an interactive, hands-on session designed to engage participants in practical activities, discussion, collaboration, and applied learning.

In this format, facilitators guide participants through a focused topic, strategy, tool, framework, or teaching practice relevant to learning and teaching in higher education. Workshops should go beyond presentation-style delivery and actively involve participants.

Presentation Format

To support an interactive and engaging format:

  • Workshops may be proposed as either a 1.5-hour or 2-hour session
  • Sessions should include hands-on activities, group discussion, and/or collaborative participation
  • Facilitators should clearly outline how participants will be engaged and if any specific devices/materials/resources are required

Submission requirements

The Oral Presentation format is a focused presentation track. This format is suited to presenters who want to share a clear story, argument, outcome, or reflection with time for audience questions and discussion.

Presentation Format

Each session will include:

  • Three 15-minute presentations
  • A shared 10-minute Q&A discussion at the end of the session
  • Presentations grouped around related topics, where possible

To support a clear and engaging format:

  • Presentations are strictly limited to 15 minutes
  • Presenters may use presentation slides to support their session
  • Co-presenters must be identified in the proposal

Submission requirements

The Poster Presentation format is a visual showcase suited to presenters who want to visually communicate their work and engage in direct conversation with attendees.

Presentation Format

Successful presenters will be invited to present their poster during a dedicated poster session at the conference.

To support an engaging poster format:

  • Selected presenters will prepare a A1 poster design that clearly communicates their work
  • A poster template may be provided
  • Presenters should be available during the poster session to discuss their work with attendees

Submission requirements

  • Best Poster Award

    Presenters will have the opportunity to compete for the Best Poster Award, recognising the most impactful and engaging poster as voted by conference attendees.

The Ideas that Transform session is a dynamic, fast-paced track designed to showcase practical teaching innovations that create meaningful change in higher education.

In this high-energy format, presenters have just 3 minutes to share one impactful idea, initiative, or teaching practice from their educational context. Whether it is a new assessment approach, an active learning strategy, an AI-enhanced classroom practice, a student engagement initiative, or a simple intervention that made a significant difference, this session is about sharing ideas that inspire action.

Presentation Format

Successful presenters will be invited to deliver a 3-minute presentation during the conference.

To maintain the fast-paced and engaging format:

  • Presentations are strictly limited to 3 minutes
  • Presenters may use a maximum of 3 presentation slides
  • When the bell rings, the presentation concludes immediately

This format encourages concise, high-impact sharing focused on practical ideas that others can learn from and apply. Following the session, attendees will have the opportunity to connect with presenters, ask questions, and continue conversations around the ideas that resonated most.
