Auditorium 1

Auditorium 1, located in Building 5 Level 1, is a tiered floor auditorium that accommodates a large group of people, equipped with virtual conferencing facilities for staff and student events.

To operate the Audio and Visual Equipment in Auditorium 1:
1. Turn on the Lectern computer if it's switched off.
2. Unlock the Lectern with the provided password.
3. Open the Crestron app located on the iPad home screen.
4. Select Projector on the toolbar. Select ON to switch on one or either both projectors.
5. Select Presentation on the toolbar and select your desired input and outputs.
6. Select PC to select the lectern computer as the desired input and then select Projector 1 as the output. The video feed from the lectern computer is now displayed through Projector 1.
  - To stream both projectors, repeat Step 6 for Projector 2.
7. Select PC to select the lectern computer as the desired input and then select Audio as the output. The audio feed from the lectern computer is now routed to Auditorium 1 speakers.
8. There are three types of microphones used in Auditorium 1.
  - Lectern Microphone
  - Handheld Microphone
  - Clip On Microphone
9. (Lectern Microphone ONLY) To turn on the microphone, ensure that the green indicator is lit when using the device. Press the mute button to mute the microphone. The green indicator now turns off.
10. To adjust the audio levels in Auditorium 1, use the arrow keys to increase and decrease the audio output. The arrow keys control the master audio in Auditorium 1. To mute the audio, tap the mute button.
11. Select Lighting to bring up Auditorium 1 lighting controls. There are a few available presets to choose from (shown in the video).
Auditorium 1 are also equipped with the following alternate sharing options which will be detailed in this section.
- Document Camera
- BYOD (Bring Your Own Device)
Document Camera
1. Turn on the document camera in:
  - Auditorium 1:
    - The LED indicator will change from orange to green. After a few moments, the document camera will illuminate.
2. Select Presentation on the toolbar.
3. Select Visualiser to select the document camera as the input.
4. Select Projector 1 as the output. The video feed from the lectern computer is now displayed through Projector 1.
  - To stream both projectors, repeat Step 4 for Projector 2.
BYOD (Bring Your Own Device)
1. Identify the VGA display cable and the 3.5mm audio jack.
2. Connect the VGA display cable to the VGA port of your computer.
  - If your device doesn't have a VGA port, ensure that the appropriate VGA adapter for your device is available. Most devices are equipped with either a HDMI or a Type C port.
  - If your device is equipped with a HDMI port, a VGA to HDMI adapter will be required. Connect the VGA display cable to the HDMI adapter securely.
  - Connect the adapter and 3.5mm audio jack to your device.
3. Select Presentation on the toolbar.
4. Select Laptop to select your device as the desired input. Select Projector 1 as the output. The video feed is now routed to Projector 1.
  - To stream both projectors, repeat Step 4 for Projector 2.
5. Click the keys on your device to open the windows projection menu. Then select from the four options presented to you.
Auditorium 1 is able to stream the Lectern PC onto the projector screens while simultaneously streaming another device. Here is how to configure this option.
Note: This is an Advanced Module. Do not hesitate to rewatch the video to understand the functionality of this Hybrid Sharing Option.
MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output)
The Hybrid sharing option, MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) can be set up in the following configurations.
- BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) - lectern combination
- Connect your own device following the BYOD instructions.
- Select Presentation on the toolbar.
- For video: Select PC, then select the lectern computer as the input. Select Projector 1 as the output. The video feed from the lectern computer is now routed to Projector 1.
- For audio: Select either Laptop or PC as your audio source. Select Audio as the output. The audio feed from the selected device is now routed to Auditorium 1 speakers.
NOTE: The hybrid sharing option can also be set up in a lectern - document camera combination, BYOD - document camera combination.
