Exhibition: ‘Sleeping Chairs’

An exhibition entitled “Sleeping Chairs” will be held at the Library Exhibition Space following the research talk, “The Secret Life of Chairs”. The Exhibition will run for a week following the research talk, with both being presented and exhibited by our esteemed speaker and PhD Candidate of the School of Arts and Social Sciences (SASS), Mr. Mahendran Balasupramaniam.

The Exhibition presents Sleeping Chairs as a visual study of chairs encountered across Malaysia between 2007 and 2019. The exhibition invites reflection on the infinite forms and uses of chairs and on how chairs construct, disrupt, regulate, and occupy social space.
