Goodbye Manual Renewals, Hello Auto Renewals!

Dear Monash Malaysia Staff and students,

Automatic loan renewals are now in place where all items, are automatically renewed up to 4 times. With this change, there is no need for your manual renewal of loan items in your My Loans user account in Search.

Some of you may have already noticed that the renewal link is no more available in the My Loans login screen. This feature is now redundant and deleted. You will now see your loan details and the status of renewal.

When you borrow a library book, it’s issued to you for an initial loan period. If you don’t return the item by the first due date, we automatically renewed it for you until you reach your maximum renewals and the loan can’t be renewed.

All items, are automatically renewed up to 4 times except items from the Reserve and Multimedia Collections and those requested by other users.
