Learning spaces
We provide an extensive range of formal and informal learning spaces to accommodate students’ activities, learning styles and work preferences. They are supported by an IT-rich infrastructure, including networked and wifi access, computing equipment and printing facilities.
Learning Commons
The Learning Commons (Level 1) is a one-stop service point which allows students to check out library materials, access computing and printing facilities, and seek assistance from librarians to locate resources and to start their research.
Multipurpose Learning Spaces
The Library offers a wide range of multipurpose, informal and collaborative learning spaces, which include:
- Library Lounge located at the Level 3 entrance of the Library
- Collaborative Learning Space designed as a flexible and reconfigurable zone
- Maker space for experiential learning and projects
- Several study areas at Level 3



Teaching spaces
The Library Training Room (7-1-03) located at Level 1 is reserved to conduct seminars and training workshops. Outside of scheduled seminars, students are welcome to make use of the facility.
The Library seminar room (7-2-03) located at Level 2, is reserved to conduct classes and seminars.
Group discussion rooms
Total of 8 discussion rooms are available for group work at Level 3. Each room can accommodate a party of 8 people. A minimum of 4 persons in a group is required to book a discussion room. They can can be booked online through LIBCAL.
Quiet Zone
The Quiet Zone located at Level 2 is the Library’s designated floor for quiet study and individual learning. It is monitored by Library staff throughout the day to foster an environment conducive to academic work and research.
