School of Pharmacy

Located in Sunway, Malaysia, the School of Pharmacy is an extension of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at Monash University, Australia, an institution that traces its origins to the Victorian College of Pharmacy, established in 1881. As a leading global centre for pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences education and a key research hub, our Faculty is internationally celebrated for its significant contributions to the field.

Our achievements are recognised globally, with the 2025 QS World University Rankings by Subject placing Monash University among the top 5 universities in the world for Pharmacy and Pharmacology. We have consistently been ranked among the world’s leading institutions in pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences, reflecting our ongoing commitment to excellence in education, research, and innovation.

All our programs are approved by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) and accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), ensuring they meet the highest national standards of academic quality and excellence. In addition, our Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) program is professionally accredited by the Pharmacy Board of Malaysia (PBM) and internationally accredited by the Australian Pharmacy Council (APC), underscoring our commitment to providing a world-class pharmacy education aligned with both national and international professional standards.

We offer industry-oriented training in pharmaceutical science, with opportunities to progress from the Bachelor to the Master of Pharmaceutical Science program. Students with a passion for research may progress further through the Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Science (Honours), or Master of Philosophy, and subsequently the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program.
