Risk Management for Project Leaders Training

Risk management is the continuing process to identify, analyse, evaluate, treat loss exposures, and monitor risk control and financial resources to mitigate the adverse effects of loss. SEACO conducted a two-day risk management training for team leaders as part of the project management handling. The purpose of this training is to ensure that each staff is able to control the risk management function. Participants were trained on topics such as, Planned Risk Management, Identifying Risks, Performing a Qualitative and Quantitative Risk Analysis, Planned Risk Response and Risk Control. The trainer, Ir. Dr. Mui Kai Yin, from PMO Asia, has extensive qualifications and experience. He graduated from the University of Sunderland, UK with a Bachelor’s degree (Hons) in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering), and then continued to complete his postgraduate degree from the University of Warwick, UK with a Master’s in Science (Advanced Mechanical Engineering). Dr. Kai Yin also holds a Ph.D. in Management from the Atlantic University, USA; with a thesis on Multi-National Corporation Employee Retention - Human Resource Management. He has had more than 17 years of experience on managing various projects in the electronics, telecommunication, automotive and construction industries, and has handled more than 50 local and global product launch projects successfully. The training had a few activities and assessments to help engage the participants and form a clearer understanding of the topics.
