The Campus Community Engagement (CCE) Summer Program offers undergraduate students service-learning opportunities with non-governmental organisations (NGOs) involved in providing clinical, health, environmental, and social care to needy individuals. Through the CCE program, students from various schools will work in multidisciplinary teams on projects that benefit NGOs. In doing so, students strengthen their graduate and professional capabilities while contributing to positive social change - a mutually beneficial arrangement.
The program provides students with an opportunity to gain a unique off-campus learning experience. Students gain exposure to what these organisations do, why they need to do so, and how they serve individuals, families and communities. This community-centred approach will also allow students to experience elements of planning and developing research on issues that matter at the grassroots level.
