The Research Talk Series for 2026 follows with the 8th research talk, with our esteemed speaker, Associate Professor Andrei Kwok from the School of Business (SOB), presenting an insightful research talk titled "Emerging technologies: A dynamic capabilities framework for competitive advantage"
The speaker will present a conceptual framework that examines how institutional adoption of emerging technologies drives economic development, positively influencing key dimensions such as business and investment, human capital, the financial system, regulatory frameworks, systems, and infrastructure. The speaker will discuss a blockchain example illustrating the transformative potential of emerging technologies in small economies.
