Beating Procrastination and Staying Focused

Procrastination often masks the real root cause: fear of failure or perfectionism.

Here's how to take back control:

Step #1: Be aware
Reflect on your habits and reasons for procrastinating.

Step #2: Try Tools & Techniques
Try the Pomodoro Technique (25 min focus, 5 min break) and other strategies.
More tools and techniques here.

Step #3: Staying Motivated
Set SMART goals to keep your study sessions on track.

How to Retain What You Learn

Active learning boosts retention by reinforcing learning materials and creating memorable experiences.

Try these strategies:
1. Take Smart Notes – Master the art of note making
2. Teach It – Explain concepts & ideas to your peers at Peer Assisted Study Sessions.
3. Review Often – Revisit content in short, frequent sessions for better recall.

Reflect to Improve Your Learning

Better learning starts with knowing yourself.

Breathe and pause to reflect on your habits, lifestyle, and study style.
