An Introduction to Data Analytics and Programming in R

As part of the Analytics Exchange Series, this two-hour workshop is primarily targeted for students/professionals, who are already familiar with Excel, and wish to acquire the essential skills of data analysis and programming in R to increase their productivity at research/work. Through easy-to-follow hands-on activities, participants will be exposed to the various commonly-used operations in data analytics that can be performed much more efficiently in R than in Excel, which includes organization, classification and extraction of data. In addition, participants will also be learning the basics of programming in R, which proves to be an indispensable tool at automating many computational tasks at hand.
