About Us
Mission and Vision
The Future Centre’s mission is to advance employee well-being through scientific research, quality education, and practical solutions.
To achieve this mission, we unite researchers from the Department of Psychology and the School of Business, along with colleagues from Malaysia and Indonesia, to study how people can thrive at work in Southeast Asia. Our scientific approach uses state-of-the-art, culturally sensitive research methodologies.
Our core activities include:
- conducting high-quality research;
- creating culturally sensitive assessment tools;
- sharing well-being information through conventional and social media;
- providing development programs to train current and future leaders in various sectors of society; and
- offering mental health and well-being consulting services.
Goals
Our goals are:
- to be recognised as a leading research centre for workplace wellbeing in the ASEAN region;
- to enhance the accuracy and relevance of workplace assessment practices to foster fair and equitable evaluation practices that are aligned with the diverse cultural contexts and traditions in ASEAN;
- to promote awareness of the importance of workplace wellbeing and its relationship with performance; and
- to empower industry members to apply best organisational practices for the enhancement of their employees’ well-being.
