What we do
Research for a healthy community
SEACO is all about research, however, our success is highly dependent on the generosity and support of the communities with whom we work.
Obtaining data via willing participants, who reveal confidential information for the purpose of our researches, is only possible due to the trust they have in us. To ensure the safekeeping of their hard earned trust, we have strong security systems in place so data is not lost, misrepresented or wrongfully revealed. Our data collectors also practice three key priorities - Safety, Privacy, Quality (Keselamatan, Privasi, Kualiti).
We are committed to use our researches for the benefit of the individuals and communities involved.
Vision
The vision of SEACO is to develop a world-class research and training site that will provide high-quality infrastructure for conducting community-based “whole of life research” and inform internationally, nationally, and locally relevant, priority questions related to climate change and health, multimorbidity, ageing and dementia, and long-term consequence of COVID-19.
Mission
The purpose of SEACO is to serve as a multidisciplinary research platform to lead and contribute to Monash research focus areas, and regional and global agenda on climate change and health, multimorbidity, ageing and dementia, and long-term consequence of COVID-19 by effective application of digital health. SEACO intends to demonstrate its research excellence, relevance, and impact on the local, nation, ASEAN region, and global communities with strong collaboration with researchers from different schools and faculties in MUM and MUA, local and regional stakeholders, and global health researchers from the top 100 universities.
