This learning circle explores how serious games can be integrated into teaching and learning to create more engaging, interactive, and effective feedback experiences for students and educators.

Ir. Dr Izni

Dr Izni aims to reimagine the way students and educators experience feedback by integrating serious games as tools for engagement and reflection.

The initiative harnesses interactive, scenario-based learning environments that deliver immediate and formative feedback, enabling students to learn through authentic, decision-driven experiences.

Starting with focus group discussions across disciplines, we will examine current feedback practices and identify opportunities for improvement through gamified learning approaches. Insights from these discussions will guide the design and pilot of serious games embedded within selected units, providing students with real-time, context-rich feedback while supporting educators in fostering effective learning. Subsequent evaluation will assess gains in feedback literacy and engagement, paving the way for broade adoption across disciplines.

Ultimately, we will develop a practical toolkit that encourages the wider adoption of serious games in teaching and learning, advancing effective and engaging feedback delivery across different disciplines.
