Finance underpins almost every business decision, yet many capable leaders work without a strong grasp of financial principles. This two-day on-campus program equips non-finance professionals with the practical financial literacy needed to interpret financial statements, evaluate performance, manage costs and risks, and contribute confidently to strategic decisions. Through interactive workshops, case studies, and applied exercises, participants will leave with the confidence and capability to translate financial insights into better business outcomes.

This course will cover various topics, including financial statement analysis, key financial metrics, cost management, budgeting, investment decision-making, and financial risk management. It is structured to provide a comprehensive understanding of financial principles for business decision-making. Over two days, participants will explore how to interpret financial data, assess business performance, make strategic investment decisions, and manage financial risks effectively.

This program is designed for professionals who shape business outcomes but may not have a formal finance background, including:

Dr Ravichandran Subramaniam
Senior Lecturer

A Chartered Accountant (Malaysia) and CPA Australia with a PhD in Finance from Universiti Malaya, Dr Subramaniam brings more than a decade of industry experience from senior internal audit roles in Malaysian financial institutions and a multinational corporation. His expertise spans corporate governance, sustainable finance, auditing, and financial technology, with a strong focus on regulation and risk. He is also an HRD Corp-accredited trainer.
Assoc. Prof. Dr Manjeevan Singh Seera
Department of Econometrics and Business Statistics
School of Business, Monash University Malaysia
Dr Seera combines industry insight with academic depth across corporate finance, investment analysis, and consultancy. His research and teaching focus on financial markets, risk management, and sustainable investment practices, and he is known for bringing applied financial modelling and scenario-based learning into the classroom to support evidence-based decision-making.
