The primary aim of this programme is to equip participants with the knowledge to critically engage with AI solutions and make informed governance decisions. The program includes:
- Module 1: Introduction to AI and Its Relevance for Decision Makers – This module provides a foundational overview of Artificial Intelligence, explaining key concepts, terminology, and applications in non-technical terms. Participants will understand the role of AI in shaping modern decision-making processes across industries, setting the stage for informed discussions on its opportunities and challenges.
- Module 2: Understanding AI Models – What They Are and How They Work – This module demystifies AI and machine learning models, explaining how they are built, trained, and used to generate predictions or automate decisions. Participants will explore real-world applications, understand model strengths and limitations, and learn to critically assess AI outputs without needing coding expertise.
- Module 3: Explainable AI – Tools to Understand and Trust Model Outputs –This session introduces the principles of explainability and transparency in AI. Through practical demonstrations, participants will learn how to interpret model outcomes, uncover potential biases, and build confidence in AI-driven decisions by using accessible interpretability tools.
- Module 4: AI Risks, Failures, and Ethical Challenges – This module examines real-world cases of AI risks, failures, and unintended consequences. Participants will discuss issues such as bias, fairness, accountability, and ethical dilemmas, developing skills to identify and mitigate risks associated with AI adoption in organizational contexts.
- Module 5: Governance and Regulatory Approaches for Responsible AI – The final module focuses on frameworks, policies, and regulatory developments that guide responsible AI use. Participants will learn how to design oversight mechanisms, evaluate AI proposals, and align AI deployment with ethical standards, legal requirements, and organizational governance needs.

Ir. Dr. Manjeevan Singh Seera is an Associate Professor at the School of Business, Monash University Malaysia, and a registered professional engineer with extensive expertise spanning machine learning, predictive analytics, AI governance, and sustainable technology applications. He holds a PhD in Computational Intelligence from Universiti Sains Malaysia and brings both academic rigour and industry-facing practice to every engagement.
In this programme, Dr. Manjeevan leads participants through the full arc of AI literacy for governance — from demystifying how AI and machine learning models function, to equipping decision makers with practical tools for evaluating model outputs and assessing explainability.
