Learning and Teaching Grant
About the Grant
Monash University Malaysia provides opportunities for you, our educators to engage in education-focused projects and evaluate the effectiveness of education initiatives through the Learning & Teaching Grant Scheme. This is an annual grant scheme open to educators at Monash University Malaysia and may be used to support research activities including data collection, analysis and dissemination.
The Learning and Teaching Grant Scheme aims to support education-focus projects in areas that will contribute to Monash University Malaysia achieving its educational objectives and furthering our pursuit of the scholarship of L&T. In particular, priority will be given to projects that focus on the following:
- designing authentic and future-focused assessments for learning
- supporting effective human-AI collaboration in education design
- feedback practices that enhance student learning and engagement
- inclusive approaches to teaching, learning, and assessment that support diverse student cohorts

This workshop is intended to help develop your skills in education focused grant writing. In participating in this workshop you will explore what makes for a solid Learning & Teaching Grant application. The workshop will cover the following:
- details of each of the important elements of the project proposal
- how to make your methodology robust
- what type of data will align with your project objectives
- the criteria your application will be assessed against
- what the grant budget should be used for
- timelines and submission details
You will also have an opportunity to hear from and ask questions of previous grant recipients and review panel members.
