IPE workshop : Perineal Trauma and Episiotomy Repair
This workshop introduces the participants to the Principles and Foundations of Episiotomy and its repair as well as the practice of Episiotomy and wound care in relation to evidence-based practices
Objectives:
- Identify structures of the pelvic floor, perineum and anal sphincter in relation to episiotomy and perineal tears
- Understand the restrictive role of episiotomy and its indications based on current EBP
- Identify 1st and 2nd degree tears and its indications based on current EBP
- Understand and provide effective postnatal care of episiotomy wound
- Demonstrate correct techniques and appropriate instrumentation in performing episiotomy and its repair and applying it in the clinical setting
Who should attend?
Junior doctors, Doctors or Specialist Trainees in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Midwifery staff/Midwifery students, Year 4 and 5 medical undergraduates

Debriefing for the Novice with DeBRIEF Approach
Lecture-discussion, demonstration and practical session in various clinical scenarios in the acute emergency setting like Cardiac arrest & life threatening Cardiac Arrhythmia (Ventricular Fibrillation) using DeBRIEF approach
Objectives :
- Participants should be able to describe the debriefing technique
- Participants should be able to perform debriefing using the DeBRIEF technique
- Participant will be able to differentiate between Feedback and Debriefing
Who should attend?
Clinical educator (Doctor, Nurse, Paramedic), Lecturers in various department

Building An Effective Near-Peer Mentoring Program in Medical Schools
The workshop focuses on establishing an effective student-led mentorship program called NPM, THe program aims to foster critical thinking, teamwork and communication skills in students and offers a more interactive learning experience. The workshop provides guidance on implementing a successful NPM program.
Objectives:
- Understand the core concept of Near-Peer Mentoring (NPM) in medical education
- Recognise the elements of an effective and safe learning environment for student mentors and mentees for the exchange of knowledge and learning skills
- Develop an effective NPM activity that would provide opportunities for peer mentors and mentees to develop interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
Who should attend?
Early career academics, education focused on academics, healthcare educators/students from Medical sciences, Healthcare educators/participants from the Dental, Biomedical, Science, Nursing, Allied health and Pharmacy fields

Workplace-based Learning and Feedback
In competency-based medical education, feedback is crucial for developing skills, and workplace learning is essential for competency development. How can educators encourage trainees to use feedback effectively? How can feedback be tailored for better results? Both students and educators must enhance their feedback literacy to foster a dialogue instead of one-way feedback
Objectives:
- Describe the changing understanding of learning in the workplace and the resulting approaches to assessment and feedback
- Be aware of the newer tools for workplace assessment and understand how to provide useful feedback in this context as these tools are implemented
Who should attend?
Teachers in health professions, especially those involved in the senior clinical years
