Charity event : Distributing basic-needs items to the less fortunate families

On 26 January 2017, Happykids Charity Group organised a charity event with the objective to distribute over 20 varieties of food, vegetables and goodies to 150 less fortunate families. This Charity Group was founded by Ms. Doreen Bong, a social worker and founder of the Happykids Play Therapy Center, who is very passionate towards charity work, not only in Segamat but other areas as well. Besides that, Ms Doreen is also a key informant for SEACO’s Verbal Autopsy project. SEACO staff turned up as volunteers on 24 and 25 January to help pack the food and vegetables. It was touching to see families receive sumptuous food and vegetable packs that will help reduce their burden.  SEACO is proud to be part of this charity event and we are looking forward for more events like this.
