Our engagement draws on a blended toolkit of participatory, qualitative and communication methods:

Community and stakeholder advisory panels

In-depth interviews, focus group discussions and key-informant interviews

Community dialogues on emerging health issues

Social-media messaging in local languages (Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, Tamil and English)

Monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) to measure the quality and impact of engagement, and to treat engagement itself as something we study and improve

Every method is chosen with the community in mind: accessible, respectful of local languages and cultures, and designed to give residents a genuine voice not a token one.
