Friendly Programme with Local Residents of Chaah

Community consultation is one of the ways to engage with the community. On 26 May 2017, the District Office of Labis held a Town Hall Session with the local residents of Chaah. This is part of a two-way relationship where the District Officer and the community exchanged information and feedback on issues, in efforts to involve the community and to obtain their views on local projects, policies, proposals or plans. The Segamat District Officer, Tuan Haji Mohd Hafiz was the host of the event. There was also an exhibition by the Fire and Rescue Department, Police and Southern Waste Management (S.W.M.). Besides the exhibition, the Department of Land and Bank, BSN were also there to provide consultation to the public. At the beginning of the event, there was a colouring competition for children and also a recycled item crafting competition. A health check was done by KOSPEN and SEACO. The event ended at 12pm and SEACO was able to conduct ECG screening for 120 people.
