28 January 2020, Tuesday - Coronavirus represents a wide variety of viruses present in animals that can, in certain circumstances, jump to humans. Contact with meat from various animals sold in Wuhan Wholesale Seafood Market has been established as the likely cause of the first reported human infections.

According to this matter, Monash University Malaysia has sent out a global email update for staff about the novel coronavirus.

Everyone is expected to undertake regular activities unless you have symptoms and:

• had close contact with someone within the past 14 days who had signs of the virus and a history of being in Wuhan, China; or,
• had close contact with someone who has a confirmed or suspected case of novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV).
