Focus Group Discussion

29 January 2020, Wednesday - We have seen the many different ways educators approach teaching. Adapting and evolving is essential, especially when it involves teaching and learning. With that in mind, both Dr. Narelle Warren and Dr. Bruce Missingham from Monash University created a unique overseas study tour since 2016. Students spend two weeks in Malaysia learning research methods then applying them in a community setting through practical research engagement.

The program runs in collaboration with Monash University Malaysia and the Southeast Asia Community Observatory (SEACO). By working intensively in small groups composed of Australian students and Malaysian staff, students learn about teamwork, collaboration, and intercultural communication.
