CSR: Donation of RM 10,000 to SK Canossian Convent Segamat

29 March 2023, Wednesday - As part of social responsibility, Jeffrey Cheah School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Monash University Malaysia, donated RM10,000 to SK Canossian Convent, one of the primary schools in Segamat district that was affected by recent floods. SK Canossian Convent is located in Sg Segamat sub-district, one of the five sub-district that SEACO is conducting its research data collection.

The mock cheque giving ceremony has been attended by the representatives from the JC School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Monash University Malaysia, Mr. Eugene Tan Sze Sang (Senior School Manager), and South East Asia Community Observatory (SEACO), Monash University Malaysia, Dr. Mohd Azrizan bin Bakir (Senior Manager, SEACO).

This ceremony was also attended by the SK Canossian Convent teachers, parents, SEACO staff, and was graced with an honourable presence by YB Haji Anuar Bin Manap (Member of the Johor State Assembly Pemanis constituency).

Segamat was hit by a devastating flood early in March this year. Apart from donation to this school, we had also helped the communities in providing help in cleaning a few areas in Chaah and Gemereh and have also taken the initiative to collect clothes and necessities to donate to people in need.
