Field Methods in Anthropology and International Development (ATS3248 & APG4248): Farewell Dinner: Celebrating Memories and Wishing Success

As all good things must eventually come to an end, the students of Field Methods in Anthropology and International Development ATS3248 & APG4248 gathered for a heartfelt farewell dinner on July 15, 2023. This simple yet special occasion was organized to bid adieu to the participants from Monash University Australia who had been an integral part of the course.

The evening commenced with a warm welcome speech by Assoc. Prof. Narelle Warren, setting the tone for an evening filled with nostalgia and camaraderie. A touching compilation of videos capturing cherished moments from their stay at SEACO Segamat was screened, evoking mixed emotions among the attendees—some feeling sad to say goodbye, others joyous for the memories created, and all astonished at how swiftly time had flown.

As the evening progressed, heartfelt good wishes were exchanged, ensuring that the bonds of friendship formed during this enriching experience would endure even as they ventured towards new horizons. The hope remains that each student achieves their intended objectives for this course, paving the way for future success with radiant smiles.

SEACO eagerly anticipates welcoming these remarkable individuals back in the future, cherishing the possibility of new encounters and shared growth. Though the farewell dinner marked the end of a memorable journey, the spirit of unity and learning will forever live on in the hearts of everyone involved. Here's to a bright future and many more adventures yet to come!
