Hospital Segamat Nurses Provide Valuable Feedback to MoBOT Team's Mental Health Intervention in Focus Group Discussion

16 April 2023, Sunday - The MoBOT team's cutting-edge research project, Development of Self-Help Digital Mental Health Intervention for Nurses in Malaysia, recently gained valuable input from a focus group discussion held at the prestigious Bilik Mesyuarat Dewan Perdana of Hospital Segamat. The MoBOT team, in collaboration with SEACO, School of Information Technology from Monash University Malaysia, and Hospital Segamat, engaged 9 dedicated nurses from the hospital to provide feedback on their self-help digital mental health intervention.

The focus group discussion was highly insightful, as the nurses shared their diverse perspectives and experiences with the MoBOT mobile application, which they had already used for two days prior to the discussion. They highlighted the significance of self-help digital interventions, especially MoBOT, which has the potential to benefit individuals struggling with work-related stress symptoms.

Thanks to the nurses' feedback, the MoBOT team can tailor further enhancements to address the specific needs of healthcare workers. The app is currently in the prototyping stage and is set to undergo clinical studies called Randomized Control Trial, with 150 participants among nurses. This project is expected to make a significant contribution to the mental health support of healthcare professionals in the future.
