SEACO Facilitates Comprehensive Research Method 101 Course for Segamat District Health Office Medical Officers Who Will Be Pursuing Master & PhD in Public Health

In a significant collaboration, the South East Asia Community Observatory (SEACO) proudly hosted a comprehensive Research Method 101 course tailored specifically for the Medical Officers of Segamat District Health Office who are embarking on their journey to pursue Master’s and PhD degrees in Public Health. The workshop sessions took place on July 4, 12, 27, and 31, 2023, at SEACO's office.

The esteemed faculty members leading the Research Method 101 course included Professor Dr Tin Tin Su, Director of SEACO, Associate Prof Dr Devi Mohan (SOM), Dr. Nowrozy Kamar Jahan, Senior Lecturer at the School of Medicine (SOM) and Mr. Roshidi Bin Ismail (SEACO Statistician).

The course offered a comprehensive curriculum covering essential topics such as "The Foundation of the Research Proposal," "Designing and Implementing Public Health Programs," "Basic SPSS Workshop," and "Interventional & Observational Study Designs." The course concluded with a practical segment where all the Medical Officers presented their DIY Research Proposals and received valuable feedback where the Deputy Director of Segamat District Health Office, Dr. Yeong May Luu and Family Medicine Specialist (FMS) of Klinik Kesihatan Segamat, Dr. Khalilati Barizah are also attended the research proposal presentation.
