Census 2022 Project - Jabi

The Census 2022 Project was conducted from August 2022 to 31 November 2023. This project is carried out every five years in five selected sub-districts where SEACO conducts studies, namely Bekok, Chaah, Jabi, Gemereh, and Sungai Segamat.

The objective of the project is to record basic information such as age, education level, and health-related information for each individual. Other information such as socio-economic status, housing modifications, schooling information, and pregnancies in the household will also be recorded. Additionally, additional questions about high blood pressure and Covid-19 related questions will also be asked to selected respondents or occupants.

In the Jabi sub-district, a total of 1,828 households were recorded, and out of this number, 1,509 household representatives participated in the Population Census Project. The total number of household members in the Jabi sub-district is 5,807. The attached information sheets show the preliminary findings of the census for the Jabi sub-district, which are divided into 1) Household Information, 2) Socio-demographics, and 3) Health.
