Visit from Mr. Aaron Koay, PhD Researcher at UCL Institute for Global Health, to the South East Asia Community Observatory (SEACO), School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Monash University Malaysia

On 13th February 2025, the South East Asia Community Observatory (SEACO), School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Monash University Malaysia, had the privilege of welcoming a visit from Mr. Aaron Koay, PhD Researcher at the UCL Institute for Global Health.

The purpose of this visit was to provide Mr. Koay with an overview and insight into the operations of SEACO. The briefing included an in-depth look at various ongoing research projects, the initiatives being undertaken, and the social impact generated by efforts to improve community well-being in Segamat.

As part of the visit’s itinerary, Mr. Koay was taken to the field to gain a deeper understanding of the data collection process and to interact with the local community directly.

SEACO would like to extend its heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to Mr. Aaron Koay for this visit. We look forward to seeing this relationship continue to grow, and we are hopeful that the planned collaborative efforts will create a positive impact on the community, academia, and the global research community.
