South East Asia Community Observatory (SEACO), School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Monash University Malaysia - PCE Sharing Session

As part of the Post Indonesia PCE Training Initiative, SEACO organised a sharing session to present and discuss key takeaways from the workshop with its staff. The session served as a platform for knowledge sharing, idea exchange, and identifying improvements to SEACO practices.

Three sessions were conducted:

  • Session 1 covered Engagement 101
  • Session 2 focused on designing engagement and setting goals and objectives,
  • Session 3 covered the logical framework (logframe) and budgeting.

The sessions helped staff better understand community engagement principles and practices. Interactive activities such as body mapping, stakeholder mapping, theatre-based engagement, and logframe exercises were well received and enhanced participant engagement. Participants also suggested having more activity-based sessions, especially for those without a research background.

In conclusion, the session is expected to further support SEACO in strengthening its community engagement practices in a more effective and inclusive way moving forward.
