Project Briefing on Heat Adaptation through Community-Based and Research-Driven Approaches

South East Asia Community Observatory (SEACO), School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Monash University Malaysia, conducted a Project Briefing on “Heat Adaptation through Community-Based and Research-Driven Approaches” at Dewan Serbaguna Taman Wira, Labis, on 14 November 2025, together with officers from the Labis District Council.

The briefing was chaired by Professor Dr Tin Tin Su, Director of SEACO, and supported by Dr Hamimatunnisa, Research Fellow at SEACO, who delivered an overview and key information on the project.

Ms Farhana binti Md Rduan @ Md Radzuan, Assistant Environmental Health Officer, attended the session as the representative of the Labis District Council, accompanied by nine other council officers.

The briefing aimed to provide an overview of the project, as the involved areas—Mukim Bekok, Chaah, and several locations along Sungai Segamat—fall under the jurisdiction of the Labis District Council. The session also facilitated a two-way discussion to support the smooth and effective implementation of the project.
