The Home Blood Pressure Screening Project: Policy Action Plan and Intervention in Hypertension Management Among ASEAN Countries was conducted from September 2023 to March 2024. This project took place in five selected sub-districts: Bekok, Chaah, Jabi, Gemereh, and Sungai Segamat.
The objective of the Home Blood Pressure Screening Project: Policy Action Plan and Intervention in Hypertension Management Among ASEAN Countries was to screen and diagnose respondents with hypertension, promote early treatment, and control hypertension. The project aimed to identify needs and potential improvements in the continuum of hypertension care, facilitate the effectiveness of evidence-based targeted programs and policies for hypertension management and control in the ASEAN region.
A total of 2,896 respondents from the five selected sub-districts—Bekok, Chaah, Jabi, Gemereh, and Sungai Segamat—participated in the Home Blood Pressure Screening Project. Among the respondents, 809 were diagnosed with hypertension, while 2,087 did not have hypertension. The attached information sheet provides the initial findings from the survey conducted in the five selected sub-districts: Bekok, Chaah, Jabi, Gemereh, and Sungai Segamat.
