South East Asia Community Observatory (SEACO), School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Monash University Malaysia - Monash University Malaysia Wins 6 Golds and 2 Silvers at ITEX 2024

18 May 2024, Saturday - The International Invention, Innovation & Technology Exhibition 2024 (ITEX 2024) provided an exciting opportunity for various inventions to be showcased to businesses and investors both locally and internationally. Among the award recipients from Monash University Malaysia was the MoBOT team, who were awarded a Silver Medal for their creation of an AI Chatbot mobile application that enhances mental health well-being.

The MoBOT team includes Prof. Dr. Tin Tin Su, Director of SEACO and Professor of Public Health; Prof. Dr. Sivakumar Thurairajasingam, Associate Professor (Practice) in Psychiatry and Deputy Head (Education) of the Johor Bahru Clinical School; Dr. Soon Lay Ki, Senior Lecturer at the School of Information Technology; Dr. Lwin Mie Aye, PhD Candidate; Nurul Syifa Shafirah Omar, Research Assistant at SEACO; and Tan Kai Gin, Research Engineer at the Action Lab.
