GPH - Workshop Recap

From September 22nd to 24th, 2025, Monash University Malaysia was proud to host an intensive Writing and Publishing Workshop, led by the distinguished Prof. Dr. med Nicola Low from the University of Bern. The three-day event brought together six selected participants for a focused program designed to elevate their academic writing and publication skills.

The workshop provided a comprehensive curriculum covering critical aspects of academic success, from structuring a compelling manuscript to strategically navigating the peer-review and publication process. Each attendee received a course handbook to guide them through the sessions, which were designed to be highly interactive and practical.

Throughout the event, participants engaged in hands-on exercises, collaborative group discussions, and constructive peer-feedback sessions. This interactive format, tailored specifically for the needs of early-career researchers, fostered a supportive and stimulating learning environment where attendees could directly apply new concepts to their own work.

The impact of the workshop was strongly reflected in the positive feedback from attendees, who described it as full of valuable insights that opened new perspectives and offered meaningful, practical guidance. This sentiment captures the core goal of the event: to provide meaningful, actionable guidance that empowers researchers to share their work with the world effectively.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Prof. Nicola Low for her invaluable expertise and mentorship, and to all the participants for their active and thoughtful contributions.
